So the hubby got a new camera this past weekend. He's upgraded from an old (but still good) Sony a100 DSLR to a Canon 7D.

I've really got no idea what I'm doing with the thing. I'm a point and shoot kind of person. But I still gave it a shot the other night. The dog happened to be in the sitting room with us, and the way the light next to couch was hitting the blanket just looked good.

He took some other photos after I got bored with it. His are obviously better looking as he knows how to play with all the settings. But I thought this one and one other came out really well.

BTW, this is Athena. She's our piebald dachshund.
